Caring for your new synthetic wig

Never use anything hot around your wig, such as curling irons, electric rollers,

blow dryer and even hot water.

Use caution when cooking and opening an oven door.

This could melt the fibers and cause a fuzzy appearance, which is irreversible.

The best styling tool is your fingers or a lift for the natural look.

Use a spray bottle, with water to mist the hair the move it to where you want it.

If needed, use a bit of gel or hair spray.

No need to use the gel or spray again until you wash the wig.

When cleaning your new wig, fill the sink with 3 to 4” of COLD water.

Add 1 cup of synthetic wig cleaner and swish it around.

Place the wig in the water, inside out. Push the water thru the wig several times.

Remove, rinse with cold water, and repeat the same actions with the synthetic wig conditioner.

Rinse and blot excess water. To add life to your new wig, spritz with Lusterizer.

The less you clean, the longer it will last.

Most manufacturers recommend cleaning once every 3 months.

Never brush a wet wig.

After cleaning, just grab it by the nape and turn upside down and shake.

Turn it up right and place on an object to dry.

Brushing while wet could stretch the fiber and cause fuzziness.

Caring for your new human hair wig

1.

Place prosthesis on a head form. Before wetting or washing, please use a sculpting brush to brush from the ends to the roots, section by section.

2.

Use lukewarm or cold water. Wet the fiber carefully, starting at its base and continue to the  end.

3.

Place a small amount of recommended shampoo into palm of hand. Gently press shampoo into hair in one downward motion, starting at base and working to the ends. Rinse with water. Squeeze out excessive water.

DO NOT BRUSH, COMB, OR RUB IN A CIRCULAR MOTION.

4.

Place some conditioner in palm and proceed to gently press it into the hair shaft staying up to within 2 inches from root area. Final rinse: Hold unit under running water for only a few minutes and let soak for 5 minutes.

5.

Blot dry with towel. Apply leave in conditioner to ends and up to 2 inches of root. Lightly brush ends to roots. Place on a wire rack and let air dry. Natural air drying is best for the life of the unit. For a natural effect to the hair line it is best you dry the front top upside down for the natural lift effect.

Caution: Do not use hot styling tools, ect.

They can cause damage to the cuticle on the hair shaft resulting in tangles, loss of shine and a dry look.

When brushing human hair, always start at the ends working up to the root area. Always brush gently. Excessive brushing or force will only cause the hair to break.

Friction from couch or pillows may cause hair to tangle. Conditioners or shampoo at the root area will cause bacteria to grow and ultimately, the hair will break.

Hot or warm water will damage the hair shaft, causing the hair to tangle and look dry. Always use Luke-warm water.

We suggest your unit be shampooed a maximum of once per week, depending on wearing frequency and physical activity while wearing. Only use the recommended products.
